Roger Sayer in Recital

St John's Cathedral, Brisbane
Hear Roger play what many believe to be the finest combination of organ and acoustic in the country. Formerly the Director of Music at Temple Church, London, Roger is also known for being the organ soloist in Hans Zimmer's Oscar-nominated soundtrack to Interstellar. Roger will be playing his own arrangement of this work, as well as works by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Reger, and many more. Refreshments will follow the recital.

Organ Workshop: All-Levels Hymn Playing

Cathedral of St Stephen
Enhance your hymn playing skills as we cover the basics (eg. rhythm, tempo and tools of the trade) through to more advanced techniques (eg. where to take things harmonically and last verse reharmonisations). Whatever your skill level, this workshop will leave you with several concepts and pointers you can work into your hymn playing!
The workshop will be co-presented by Dominic Perissinotto and Phillip Gearing. An open console will follow this event.

Organ Workshop: Christmas in July: Music Selection and Preparation

In this organ workshop, Christopher Wrench will help you select and prepare organ music for the Christmas season. You will learn about recent publications, lesser-known gems plus standard classics representing a wide range of difficulty levels. Along with this, Christopher will suggest creative ways in which the pieces might be used liturgically. Christopher will demonstrate pieces on the wonderful Allen Digital Organ at Christ Church.
